Where Is The Subscapularis?

The Subscapularis attaches underneath the whole surface of the shoulder blade and connects to the front part of the upper arm bone.Muscles that wrap from the back to the front are always interesting. This is on of the 4 rotator cuff muscles.


Symptoms of Subscapularis tear or strain

There are two main causes of Subscapularis tears: injury and degeneration.


Pain in front top part of your shoulder. (Tendon ending)
Pain when inward rotating.
Pain when moving arm behind you when hand rests beside the hip. Shoulder Hyperextension
