I am an artist- i act and i write.. this passage is inspiring to me because i use the breath as the main tool when acting in a dramatic Scene. For example: if i need to bring up the emotion of panic i will begin breathing rapidly to draw that emotion to the surface.. And now i am exploring in my yoga practice how to use the breath to control the mind... Which brings my awareness to the EXTREME importance of breath to both the emotional body as well as the mind--- so basically the breath is the most important gift we as cognitive humans have in mastery of self. And i think that is really cool!
